This article will take you through all frequently asked questions around Synthesia Accounts.

Q: I've noticed there's been a change on my account from credits to minutes, why is this?

A: We are excited to introduce our new feature to Synthesia, Usage settings to allow you to get the most out of video creation. You can find out more about the feature here.

Q: How many minutes do I have on my plan?

A: This will depend on which plan you currently have, for our Personal Plans the minutes are as follows:

  • Personal Monthly: 10min/month

  • Personal Annual: 120min/year

If you are looking to upgrade your plan you can contact our Support Team for assistance.

Q: Where can I see how many minutes I have left / I have used?

A: If you are a self-serve user (Personal Monthly or Personal Annual plans) you will be able to view your usage in the User settings, under Billing.

Q: When is my Synthesia usage reset?

A: Your minutes for usage will be reset at the start of the billing period.

Q: I didn't use all my minutes, can I use them in the next billing period?

A: Due to your minutes being reset at the start of the billing period, there is no accumulation of unused minutes.

Q: Why have I not received a reset password link?

A: If you have not received a reset password link, please:

  • Check your Spam/Junk folder.

  • Check your firewall settings, as this may prevent the reset email from reaching your domain.

  • Verify that the email address you're using is the one registered for your Synthesia account.

If you are still experiencing difficulties signing in, please contact our Support Team.

Q: Can I change my account email address?

A: If you are on a Personal Plan, you cannot currently change your Synthesia account email address. If you want to use a different email address, you will need to cancel your current account and register a new Synthesia account with the desired email address. To learn how to transfer content from your old account to your new account, follow this guide.

Q: Can I cancel my Personal Plan?

Synthesia is a subscription-based service. You can cancel your account at any time. However, please note that canceling your account will result in the loss of access to Synthesia and the videos on your account.

To cancel your account, go to Account Settings > Cancel Account.
