Your user settings let you manage key aspects of your Synthesia account β including your profile, security, notifications, API access, and workspace settings.
How to access your user settings
Select your user initials in the top-right area of the Synthesia application.
Select Account info from the dropdown menu.
This opens your account settings where you can make various updates.

Account info
The Account info section lets you manage your core profile and security settings.
Update your profile β Edit your first and last name, or upload a profile picture. Your picture is visible to other workspace members when editing or commenting on a video.
Change your password β Select Change password, enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password. Select Done to save.
Change your email address β Select Change email, enter your new email address and current password, then select Verify email. Check your new inbox for a verification code and enter it to confirm the change. You will be automatically logged out after the update.
Log out of all devices β Use this option if you are signed in across multiple locations and want to end all active sessions.
βοΈ Password and email changes are only available for accounts that sign in with an email and password. If you log in via Google or SSO, these options will not appear. Contact Synthesia Customer Support for help updating your login details.
π‘ Keep your account secure. Changing your password will not automatically log you out of other devices. Use the Log out of all devices option to end all active sessions.
Preferences
The Preferences section lets you control your notification and appearance settings.
Email notifications
You can control which product emails you receive from Synthesia. Essential account and billing emails will always be sent regardless of your preferences.

Integrations
API
π API access is available on Creator plans and above. To upgrade your plan, visit How do I upgrade my Synthesia plan? .
Go to the API tab in your user settings to view and copy your API key. Your API key is needed to integrate Synthesia with other tools and services.

Why can't I see the option to change my email address or password?
The Change email and Change password options only appear for accounts that sign in with an email and password. If you signed in using Google or SSO, these options will not appear and your details cannot be changed from inside account settings.
Will changing my password log me out of other devices?
Will changing my password log me out of other devices?
Changing your password will not automatically end other active sessions. To log out of all devices at once, go to Account info in your user settings and select Log out of all devices.
