How do I view Survey Session results?

Learn how to review individual responses, read the AI-generated report, and export your Survey Session data.

Written by Meg Farley

Your Survey Session results live in the video's analytics, in the same place as your other Synthesia video stats. From there you can read an AI-written report, open every individual response, see a breakdown for each question, and track how many people have viewed and completed your survey.

A Survey Session is different from a Roleplay Session. A Survey Session collects information and doesn't score the respondent, so its results focus on responses and themes rather than pass or fail feedback.

Open your results

To view your results:

  1. Go to My Videos and select your Survey Session video.

  2. Select Analytics.

  3. Use the tabs to review your results: Report, Responses, Questions, and Adoption.

✍️ Allow up to 30 minutes for new responses to appear and for the report to update. Results aren't real-time.

Report tab

The Report tab shows an AI-generated executive summary of the themes and sentiment across every response collected so far. It's designed to be read on its own, without reviewing individual responses. Select Export to download it as a PDF to share with your team.

Responses tab

The Responses tab shows every response in a single table, with one row per respondent and their answer to each question. Select any row to open that respondent's full transcript and play their audio. Select Export to CSV to download the data.

Questions tab

The Questions tab shows your results one question at a time. For each question, you can see how responses break down across categories, with counts and percentages, alongside a short written summary of what respondents said. A study outline lists every question so you can move between them.

Adoption tab

The Adoption tab shows how your survey video is performing as a video. Track Impressions, Views, and Unique Views over time, along with an Engagement rate, to see how many people opened and watched your survey.
