Synthesia saves your video edits as you work, as long as you are connected to the platform.
To check the status of your saves, find the save status icon (a cloud icon) in the editor toolbar. The icon indicates one of three states:
A cloud with a checkmark β your changes have been saved.
A cloud with an upward arrow β a save is in progress.
A cloud with a red x β your edits are not saving. Stop making changes to your video and wait until your connection is restored before continuing.
π¬FAQs
My edits are gone β can they be recovered?
My edits are gone β can they be recovered?
If your edits are missing, the most likely cause is a lost connection to Synthesia while you were editing. When the connection drops, saves stop and any changes made after that point are not stored.

To check for an earlier saved version:
Select the video title at the top of the editor.
Select Show version history.
Review the available autosaves to see if an earlier version of your work exists.
βοΈ If no useful version appears in your version history, the edits are not recoverable.
