When a video is rejected, the customer will receive a notification indicating that the content was not approved due to a breach of our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Content Moderation Policies. These notifications serve as warnings and are intended to inform customers of the reasons for rejection, helping them understand and adhere to the rules moving forward.
After multiple rejection notices have been issued, the customer will receive a final warning notification. This notice will clearly state that any further violations, specifically the rejection of one additional script will lead to a permanent ban from the platform. The purpose of this step is to provide a final opportunity for the customer to address the issue and continue using Synthesia in a compliant and responsible manner.
It's part of Synthesia's preventative approach to content moderation, which aims to create a safe platform environment while ensuring responsible use of the technology.
Why do we do this?
When a customer receives a final warning from Synthesia, it means their account has repeatedly breached our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Content Moderation Policies. This warning is issued as a clear and serious reminder that continued violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination. The purpose of this communication is to encourage customers to carefully review our terms and policies and take immediate steps to ensure compliance moving forward. Final warnings are intended to provide transparency, offer a final opportunity to align with our standards, and make clear that ongoing policy breaches will not be tolerated.
Content Moderation Appeals and Support
Appeals
If you disagree with a rejection, you have the right to appeal the decision. Each notification includes a link or instructions for submitting an appeal, where you can provide additional context or evidence to support your case. Appeals are carefully reviewed to ensure fairness and objectivity. While the warning will remain active during the appeal process, no further action will be taken until a final decision is reached. This process is designed to ensure transparency and give you a fair opportunity to contest moderation decisions. For further information regarding the Appeal Process, please refer to the the Content Moderation Appeals article.
Customer Support
If you have any questions or concerns beyond the appeal process, you're encouraged to contact our customer support team.
