How do I use a Synthesia brand kit?

Learn how to create and use brand kits in Synthesia to apply your brand's colors, logos, and styles across videos.

Create a Brand Kit Manually

  1. Select the Assets section, then select Brand kits.

  2. Select Create brand kit at the top of the page.

  3. Enter a name for your brand kit at the top of the page.

  4. Select the logo you wish to use from the library or upload your own. You can have two versions per brand kit:

    • Primary, which sits on lighter backgrounds

    • Negative, which sits on darker backgrounds

  5. Select up to 2 text styles, 6 avatars, and 120 colors for your brand kit.

    • If you are using one of our Customizable Avatars, you can also select outfits for the avatar.

  6. Once colors have been chosen, Synthesia will suggest appropriate color themes for your brand.

  7. Select Add theme, then choose one of the suggested themes or customize your own by selecting your preferred theme colors.

  8. Once happy with your choices, select Save.

Generate an Automated Brand Kit

  1. Select Brand kits, found under the Assets section.

  2. The Brand kit page displays any current kits that have been created in the workspace.

  3. Select Create brand kit at the top of the page.

  4. Select the Create your brand kit in just 1 click option.

  5. Search for a brand or enter a website URL in the search bar to generate a brand kit.

  6. Make changes to the brand kit as needed.

  7. Once satisfied, select Save.

✍️ When generating a brand kit from a URL custom fonts will need to be manually uploaded and selected


Add a Brand Kit to your project

  1. Navigate to an existing video or use the New video option.

  2. Use the video action menu, located in the upper left corner of the canvas, next to your video title.

  3. Select the brand kit you want to apply to the current video.

  4. All scenes will be updated with the color palette to match your selected brand kit. If you have multiple themes for a brand kit, you can select a different theme for each scene using the Theme option in the video edit section.

  5. Make any changes to your video as required, brand kit color options will appear first when updating assets in your video.

How many colors does a Theme have?

Themes contain exactly 4 colors: 2 dark & 2 light.

Can I use a Brand Kit with templates?

Yes, you can use your Brand Kit when creating a template. To learn more, check out the Create a new Synthesia template article

✍️ If you're not on an Enterprise plan, you won't see the option to create or apply a brand kit. You can still set colors, fonts, and a logo manually in your template.
