Learn how to import your PowerPoint slides in Synthesia.

Updated over a week ago

It is important to note that:

  • Our Starter, Creator and Corporate plans have a limit of 50 slides per import

  • If you have a legacy personal plan you will have a limit of 10 slides per import.

  • The maximum size for a file upload is 300MB (supported formats: ppt, pptx)

How to Upload a PowerPoint Presentation

Select the New video button located in the top right A new window will open on screen. Click on Import PowerPoint option.

You will be given the option to either drag and drop the file into Synthesia or Browse files. Locate the file on your computer, and click Import PowerPoint.

Please note that this may take a while for larger file sizes.

If it takes longer than 1 minute, you can close the window while the file is being processed and come back later.

Once your presentation is uploaded, you can start turning the slides into a video.

Please note that your PowerPoint slides will be converted to images and you will not be able to edit the content of your original slides, but you can add additional elements such as avatars, shapes, text overlays etc.

The imported PowerPoint file will be blurry in draft mode. However, after the video is generated, the blurry images will be replaced with the original quality ones.

You can upload multiple PowerPoint presentations, and you can find them under Recent Uploads.
