How do I import PowerPoint slides into Synthesia?

Import PowerPoint slides to generate a new video

  1. Select the New video button located in the top right of the Synthesia.

  2. Click on Import PowerPoint option.

  3. Upload your PowerPoint file.

Once uploaded:

  • Text elements, shapes, images, and videos from your slides become editable in Synthesia.

    • With editable elements, you can:

      • animate them natively in Synthesia

      • ensure that the output is visually consistent once text is translated

      • replace elements in Synthesia without re-importing the PPT

  • Speaker notes are imported as the script for your video.

  • Fonts are detected automatically. For any missing fonts, you can either choose a replacement or upload the original files to preserve the design.
