What is Media?
Media refers to any visual or audio asset you upload or add to your video. Think of it as your supporting cast—that make your video richer and easier to understand.
Media includes elements such as:
Images
Video Files
Graphics
Audio
Add Media to Your Video
There are two main ways to add media to a scene in Synthesia:
Upload your own
Select Media from built-in libraries.
Open your video project.
Click Media at the top of the canvas.
Choose from:
Upload media to add your own image or video file
Upload media to add your own image or video file
Stock libraries to browse and select media
Stock libraries to browse and select media
Once selected, your media will appear on the canvas. You can move, resize, and position it to fit your scene layout.
✍️ Accepted upload file types:
Images:
.jpeg,.png,.svg(max 300MB)Videos:
.mp4,.webm(max 250MB)
Set a Media Background
You can use any image or video as a background for your scene.
Go to the right-side toolbar.
Toggle on Background media.
Choose a:
Solid color background
Stock image or video
Uploaded media file
The selected background will automatically update on your canvas.
Upload media to your Media library
Navigate to the Library tab under Assets in the left hand menu.
Go to the Media Library.
Click Upload media.
