Every Synthesia customer can try Roleplay Sessions. You can build as many roleplays as you like on any plan. What each plan limits is the number of times those roleplays can be played each month.
Your plan's credit allowance is a separate limit and still applies. Roleplay and feedback scenes consume no credits, but any regular studio scene in the same video draws credits as normal.
đ Monthly play caps by plan
Basic, Starter, and Creator plans: 10 plays per month
Enterprise plans: 25 plays per month for the whole organization
Paid Roleplay Sessions plans: uncapped for learners in a seat
The free monthly allowance above is included on your plan. To play roleplays without a cap, buy Roleplay Sessions learner seats â learners in a seat get uncapped plays. To learn more, check out How do I choose the right Roleplay Sessions plan?
What counts as a Play
A play is counted when someone loads a roleplay video on the share page. Opening the share link and starting the roleplay uses one play from your monthly allowance.
Building a roleplay does not use a play. Previewing your own roleplay while you build it does not count toward the cap either.
Creating roleplays is unlimited
The cap applies to plays, not to roleplays. You can create as many Roleplay Sessions as you want on any plan, in any workspace, and keep them all. The cap only controls how many times those roleplays can be played in a given month.
This means a workspace on the Creator plan could hold twenty different roleplays and still have 10 plays to share between them each month.
How the Enterprise Cap Works
âď¸ The Enterprise cap of 25 plays is for the entire organization, not per workspace and not per user.
If your organization has five workspaces, they share the same 25 plays between them. Once any combination of people across those workspaces has used 25 plays in a month, playback pauses for everyone in the organization.
The same principle applies to duplicating a roleplay. Because the cap is counted at organization level rather than per roleplay, copying a Session and sharing the copy does not give you a fresh allowance.
What Happens When You Reach the Cap
When your organization reaches its monthly cap, roleplay playback pauses. Anyone opening a share link sees that the limit has been reached. Your roleplays are not deleted or changed, and you can keep building.
Playback resumes when the cap resets the following month.
To remove the cap before then:
On a Basic, Starter, or Creator plan, buy Roleplay Sessions learner seats. Learners in a seat get uncapped plays. To learn more, check out How do I buy or upgrade to Self-Serve Roleplay Sessions?
