Quick Summary
If you've received a moderation prompt on your script, it may be because your content appears to discuss topics where Synthesia has policies around legal advice and information. Because misleading legal information can cause real harm, our policies place some restrictions on what legal content can be created with stock avatars. Stock avatars have restrictions because they may mislead audiences about the speaker's authority or expertise. Content should avoid framing that suggests the avatar is a qualified legal professional or giving personalised advice to the viewer.
The good news: you may still be able to create your content. In many cases, small wording adjustments are enough to resolve the issue. The key is moving from giving advice or opinions toward sharing factual, educational information about laws and legal processes.
đ For our Enterprise Users: Some exemptions to the policies outlined in this article may apply to your workspace.

How to Fix This
If you want to use a stock avatar, review your script to ensure it:
Presents explanations about laws and regulations as general information that is verifiable and neutral in tone
Avoids instructing the audience to take specific actions in situations involving legal rights, or content that could create legal disputes or liabilities
Removes personal opinions about specific laws, regulations, judgements, and legal practitioners
Removes statements that promote a specific lawyer or law firm
Avoids misleading, unverified, or unauthorised information about legal practices, procedures, practitioners, or jurisdictions
If rewriting your script toward factual, educational content isn't possible for your use case (for example, if you're creating specialist legal education content or promoting a law firm), switching to a custom avatar may allow you to use your original wording. You can discuss a broader range of legal topics with a custom avatar than with stock avatars.
đ Including a disclaimer statement (such as "This is not legal advice") does not guarantee your video will pass moderation if it discusses restricted topics. The framing and content of your script matter more than disclaimers.

Key Reminder
âď¸ Depending on your content, there may be more than one compliant path. Some changes will make your script suitable for stock avatars, while others may still require a personal or studio avatar, an enterprise workspace, or in some cases, may not be supported on the platform.
If your script was flagged, the guidance above should help you understand both how to edit your content and what type of account or avatar is needed to create it successfully. Feel free to make your edits and try again.
