This feature is in Beta.

This feature is exclusively available to Enterprise customers on Organization plans with Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled.

To learn more about configuring SSO sign on for Synthesia check out the How do I configure SSO for Synthesia? article.

If you would like discuss upgrading your plan, contact the Synthesia Support team or see the How do I upgrade my Synthesia plan? guide.

The SSO Video Page allows you to restrict access to published videos—whether shared via link or embedded—so that only authenticated users can view them, enhancing security and streamlining video sharing for internal audiences.

How the SSO Video Page Works

  • SSO (Single Sign-On) enforcement can be applied at three levels:

    • Organization level

    • Workspace level

    • Individual video level

  • When the SSO Video Page is enabled:

    • The video player will display a login form and viewers must log in via SSO to access and watch the video.

    • SSO protection applies to both share pages and embedded videos.

Authentication Settings and Controls

How to enable Organization-Level Authentication

  • Under Settings -> Organization Settings -> Collaboration -> Permissions, toggle on Require authentication for published videos.

  • When authentication is required at the organization level:

    • All videos in the organization will require SSO authentication to be viewed.

    • This setting cannot be disabled for individual workspaces or videos within the organization.

How to enable Workspace-Level Authentication

  • Under Settings -> Workspace Settings -> Collaboration -> Permissions, toggle on Require authentication for published videos.

  • When authentication is required at the workspace level:

    • All videos in the workspace will require SSO authentication to be viewed.

    • This setting cannot be disabled for individual videos within that workspace.

How to enable Video-Level Authentication

  • Publish your video. Within the publish panel under video page options toggle on Require authentication.

  • When authentication is not enforced at the workspace or organization level:

    • Editors can choose to enable or disable SSO authentication for each video during the publishing process.

Notes:

  • If SSO authentication is required at the organization or workspace level, it cannot be turned if off at the individual video level.

  • If your embedded video link requires authentication, a login popup will appear. This popup only works in web browsers. If you embed the video in a non-browser environment (e.g., inside an app or third-party tool), the authentication popup will not function, and users may not be able to log in.

  • When the SSO Video Page is enabled (and Just-In-Time (JIT) provisioning is not active), only users who are already members of your Synthesia organization can view the video. New users will not be able to access the video unless they are first added to your organization.
