How can I prevent self-serve subscriptions for SSO users in my organization?

Organization admins can block SSO users from creating their own self-serve subscriptions to ensure more compliant content creation.

Updated this week

You must be an Admin of your organization to block SSO users from creating their own subscriptions.

This feature is only available on our Synthesia Enterprise Plan Customers.

If you would like discuss upgrading your plan, please contact our Synthesia Support team or use our upgrade guide.

To block self-serve subscriptions for SSO users:

  1. Click your user icon in the top-right corner of Synthesia.

  2. Go to Organization settings and select the Collaboration tab.

  3. In the Authentication section, you'll see a list of your organization's domains (associated with your SSO setup).

  4. Toggle Block users from creating their own subscriptions to ON.

  5. This will prevent users from your organization's domains from creating separate subscriptions outside of your organization.

Notes:

  • If your organization doesn’t have SSO setup, then the Authentication section will not be visible.

  • New domains can only be added if they are a part of SSO. Any future additions to the SSO domains will automatically be updated here.
