When you are invited as a guest to a Synthesia workspace video, you will need to accept the invitation and log in using the email address to which the invitation was sent. If you don't have a Synthesia account, you'll need to create one.
To accept a guest invitation:
Check your email for an invitation to collaborate.
Select View Video to be taken to Synthesia.
Log in if you already have an account. You will be added to the workspace containing the video as a guest.
If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one using the email address to which the video was shared.
Once you have accepted the invitation and have logged in to your account you will be able to view the video(s) shared with you and leave comments.
To leave comments:
Locate the video under the Shared with me option on the left hand menu.
Select the video you would like to leave a comment on.
Below the video, leave a comment in the designated Leave a comment section. As you play and pause the video, your comments will be tied to the timestamp at which you leave them.
To leave comments on specific elements of the video, select the Edit option above the video. You will be taken into the editor to view the video.
From here, you can leave comments on specific elements on the canvas of the video.
If you would like to see all videos in a workspace, you can request to join as a member.
To request to join the workspace:
Select Join the Workspace in the bottom left corner of the page.
A pop-up will appear where you can leave an optional message for the workspace admin, requesting an upgrade from guest to member status.
Click Send Request.
Wait for the workspace admin to review and approve your request. Once approved, your status will be upgraded from guest to restricted member, granting you access to view all videos.
See the Synthesia User roles & Permissions documentation to learn more about the Synthesia Guest role.
Notes:
Requesting to join the workspace will add you as a restricted member. To create or edit videos you will need admins approval to upgrade to a full member license.
