Written by Meg Farley

📌 Workspaces are only available to our Enterprise plans customer.

Self-serve users can invite a limited number of guests to comment on individual videos, but each self-serve account is limited to a single user.

Add a Guest to a video

Users can invite a guest user by sharing a video with the guests’ email.

  1. Navigate to the overview page, select Invite in the upper right corner of the page. Alternatively, on the video list page in your Workspace / My Videos page

  2. Select the the three-dot menu for your video and select Invite.

  3. Enter the email address of the guest user.

  4. Choose the guest's permission level:

    • Full Access

    • Can Edit

    • Can Comment.

  5. Select Invite.

  6. In the Invite new user modal, select Invite as a guest.

  7. Select on Invite as a guest.

✍️ Full access and Can edit only allow the guest to actually edit and generate the video on an Enterprise workspace with a full license. On other plans, guests can view and comment on individual videos, regardless of which permission level you choose.

What happens next?

When the guest invitation is sent out, the new user receives an email invite:

  • If the invitee does not have a Synthesia account, they will be directed to the account creation screen.

  • If the invitee already has an account (or just created one), they will immediately become a guest of the workspace. The shared video will then appear on their Shared with Me page
