A voice clone is a custom voice that replicates your own. It is automatically created when you generate a Personal Avatar, but it can also be used independently of the avatar.
To select your voice clone
Navigate to the video editor
Open the Script Box
Access the Voice Selection Menu and hover over the avatar and voice icon in the script box.
A dropdown menu will appear for both avatar and voice selection.
Click the down arrow next to the currently selected voice to open the full voice list.
Select Your Custom Voice from the list to use in your project.
To rename a voice clone
Navigate to the left hand menu of Synthesia and under the Assets section, select voices.
Locate the voice clone you would like to rename and select the three dots in the top right corner.
Select Rename.
Enter your desired name and select Rename to save.

In some cases, the ElevenLabs instant voice cloning that powers our in-app voice cloning and Personal Avatars cannot always preserve the accent of non-native English speakers, as ElevenLabs only has English accent data for US, UK, Australian, and Canadian English.
To ensure your clone maintains your accent, we recommend to produce a Professional Voice Clone with ElevenLabs (contact ElevenLabs directly for pricing).You can find out more information on the voice cloning process here.
Once purchased and trained, you are able to import the clone into Synthesia.
Importing voice clones from ElevenLabs is only available to our Enterprise Plan users.
