Chapters let viewers jump to specific sections of your video from the Synthesia player, making longer videos easier to navigate.
To create and edit chapters
Navigate to your video and select the video actions menu in the top-left corner next to your video title.
Select Edit chapters.
Name each chapter.
To group multiple scenes into a single chapter, select the arrow button. This will nest the scene under the previous chapter.
To ungroup a scene from the chapter, select the back arrow button. This will make the scene its own chapter.
Press Confirm to save the chapters. Once the video is generated, chapters will appear when hovering over the player timeline in video player.
✍️ By default, each scene in your video becomes its own chapter. Once the video is generated, chapters appear when you hover over the player timeline in the video player.
✍️ Chapters only appear when viewers watch your video in the Synthesia player. If you download the video as an MP4 or embed it directly in a platform like MS Stream, the chapter markers won't carry over. If you export to SCORM (Enterprise plans only), chapters still work because the Synthesia player is embedded in the package.
