To translate your video:
Navigate to the My videos section of Synthesia.
Find the video you want to translate and select the Translate option that appears when hovering over the video.
Within the Select Languages dropdown menu, enter the target language(s) for translation.
If desired, check the Only translate the script option to keep on-screen text in the original language.
Once all languages have been selected, click Translate. A progress bar of the translation(s) will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Once your video has been translated, a new folder will appear in your My Videos section, named: title of the video - translations. This folder will store all the translated versions of that video, including the original video.
Edits can now be made to any of the videos.
Notes:
See the Translation supported languages documentation to discover all supported languages.
Words in the script that use the diction feature will not be translated.
Check out the How do I edit a video with translations? article to learn how to apply edits across all translated versions of a video.
Each translation must be generated individually. Once generated, translations can be published under the original video. This allows viewers to navigate between different languages versions in the video player. For more information on how users can switch between translations refer to our How do I use the multi-lingual video player? article.
