There are two ways to create a Synthesia template:
Starting from scratch.
Converting an existing video into a template (preferred).
Creating a Template from Scratch
To create a new template from scratch:
Navigate to the Library > Template page of Synthesia.
Click on Create a New Template button.
On the video edit page, create your different scene layouts to begin designing your template.
You can also set a Brand Kit for your template, by selecting it from the top left menu in the canvas.
Once done, click Publish Template in the upper right corner of the page.
Enter your template Title and Description.
Click Publish template to validate.
Converting a Video into a Template
Convert an existing video into a template at any time:
Open a generated video you want to convert into a template.
Click on the three dots at the top right corner of your screen.
Select Save as a template.
Make any necessary adjustments to your video scene layouts.
Once done, select the Publish Template button.
Enter your template Title and Description.
Click Publish template to validate.
If you are using a template with AI assistant and you'd prefer the AI assistant does not replace certain media items or always replaces certain items with stock content, select the media item you wish to affect and click on the three-dot menu on the inspector panel. You have several options:
Auto: Let the AI assistant decide whether or not to replace this media item
Always : Always replace this media item with stock content or an image from a source document
Never : Never replace this media item
Click Publish template when finished to ensure changes are made.
Notes:
Once your template is generated, find it in the Library > Template section.
