Publishing a roleplay prepares it for assignment to learners in your Learner Portal. Once published, you can assign it to teams, track their progress, and view detailed analytics including skill-level breakdowns and coaching feedback.
Review your Roleplay Session before publishing
Your Rolepay Session is already created and generated. Preview it one final time to confirm everything works as intended.
Verify:
All scenes are present (scripted, roleplay, feedback)
Persona and scenario are clear
Objections feel realistic
Skills are configured with appropriate weightage
Passing score threshold makes sense
Retries are enabled or disabled as intended
Feedback coach messaging is appropriate
If you need to make changes, go back to the editor, update the configuration, regenerate, and preview again.
Publish the Roleplay Session
Navigate to the video share menu.
Video share menu
In the Learner portal section, select Publish.
Your Roleplay Session is now published and available in your organization's Learner portal content library.

Managing published Roleplay Sessions
Unpublish a Roleplay Session
If you need to remove a Roleplay Session from availability (e.g., it's outdated), you can unpublish it. Learners who already started can still complete it, but new learners cannot access it.
Open the published Roleplay Session in Synthesia.
Select the trash icon in the video share menu.

Edit a published Roleplay Session
You can edit a published Roleplay Session anytime:
Open the video in the editor
Make your changes (scripts, configuration, etc.)
Generate the video again
Republish using the video share menu
Select Replace to update the shared Roleplay Session to the newer version
Replace a published Roleplay Session with a newer version
