If you're part of an Enterprise workspace, only a workspace Admin can set or change the custom default template.

Streamline your video creation process by setting a custom default template for your workspace. This new feature ensures all newly created videos start with your chosen template, helping maintain brand consistency and saving time on formatting.

How to set a custom default template:

  1. Go to your workspace library.

  2. Navigate to the Templates section.

  3. Find the template you want to set.

  4. Hover over the template and click the three dots () menu.

  5. Click "Set as default”. The selected template will now automatically be applied to all new videos or scenes.

  6. To change or remove the default, open the same menu and select “Remove as default” or choose another template to replace it.

What happens when a custom default template is set?

  • Auto-applied to new videos and scenes: The default template is used by default when starting a new project—no manual selection needed.

  • Shown first in the template picker: Whether you're creating a video from scratch, in the editor, or using the AI assistant, your default template appears first.

FAQs

Can users still choose other templates?

Yes, the default is suggested but not locked in.

Who can set or change the default template?

Only admins can set or update the default template.

What happens if a default template is deleted?

You’ll be asked to confirm the deletion, and if you proceed, a new default will automatically be selected.

Does this apply to videos created with the AI assistant?

Yes, the default template will be used automatically.

What about PowerPoint imports?

The default template doesn’t apply to imported slides, but it will appear when adding new scenes afterward.

Notes:

  • The Public API does not enforce default template usage.
