AI Playground is available to all Synthesia users. Start frames and end frames are available on Starter, Creator, and Enterprise plans only.

What is the AI Playground?
The AI Playground is a tab in Synthesia where you can generate short AI videos and images from a text prompt.
Anything you create in the AI Playground is automatically saved and available inside the Editor under Media — so you can drop it straight into a video without re-uploading.
How to generate a video or image asset
Click AI Playground in the left navigation panel.
Choose whether you want to create a Video or an Image.
Select your model
Video: Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast
Image: Flux.2, Nano Banana Pro
Select your aspect ratio
Landscape:16:9
Portrait: 9:16
Set the number of generations.
For Video: Set a Start frame or End frame image
Supported formats: PNG, JPG, and WebP
Type your prompt.
Click Generate.
✍️ Keep in mind: Each additional asset uses credits. The more assets you generate per prompt, the more credits you'll use.

How do I use start or end frames?
Start frames and End frames let you upload an image to control how a generated video clip starts, ends, or both. This is useful when you want a clip to transition from or into a specific visual.
Is the uploaded frame used as a style reference?
Is the uploaded frame used as a style reference?
No. The uploaded image is used as a literal first or last frame of the clip. If you upload a specific image, that exact image will appear in the video.

Anything you generate in AI Playground is saved automatically and is also available in the Editor under Media.
Why can’t I see the AI Playground tab?
Why can’t I see the AI Playground tab?
A workspace admin can turn off access to the AI Playground using the AI-generated stock content setting. If you cannot see the tab, check with your admin.
