How do I use Spaces?

The Spaces feature allows you to create realistic and professional-looking video scenes by adding dynamic backgrounds.

Updated over a week ago

How to use Spaces:

  1. Open your video in the Synthesia editor.

  2. Add a new Avatar or select the avatar on your scene.

  3. Navigate to the inspector panel and click Add space under the Space section.

  4. Browse the available environments in the catalog or use the search bar to find a specific one. Alternatively you can select a Color or Gradient for your space.

  5. When a Space is added, the avatar in the scene will be positioned within this.

  6. You can further configure the Space by navigating to the inspector panel:

    • Crop the Space or adjust its appearance to Fullscreen, Circle, or Box in the Appearance section.

    • Replace the Avatar.

    • Change the Space selected.

    • Change the Opacity or add a Shadow effect to a Space.

  7. To remove a Space, select the cross icon in the Space section of the inspector. Alternatively, select the background and press the delete key on your keyboard. This will also delete the avatar.

Explore the Spaces documentation for more information.
