Adding music to your content can make a world of difference by setting the tone or mood of the video and increasing viewer engagement and attention.
To Add Music to Your Video:
Navigate to the video you wish to add music to.
Select the scene and toggle on the Music option on the the toolbar located on the right-hand side of the canvas.
You can filter your music choice using the Genre, Mood, Duration and Instrumental options at the top on the Music section.
Select one the songs from the library, if uploaded content to Synthesia, or select a music file from our Stock content library.
To upload your own music, click the Upload music button.
Preview the music, using the Play button on the left of each clip.
Once you have selected a track, click Add to add it to your current scene.
Change the volume using the option in the Music section on the video.
💡We recommend setting the volume of your music to 15% for background music in your video💡
Why can't I hear the music I selected, when previewing the script?
This is expected behaviour in Synthesia. Previewing in script will only preview the voice or any audio from media uploaded into the scene.
Notes:
If you would like to locate a specific soundtrack, you can also use the search function.
Add the music to all the scenes or change the volume of music on all scenes using the Change all option on the pop up that appears once you made a change to your scene.
Want to have different songs in the video? Select the scene and add another choice of music to that scene.
Supported formats for music uploads are mp3, .wav, .ogg, .aac, .flac.
