How do I duplicate my video?

Learn how to duplicate a video in Synthesia to reuse a project and create variations without starting over.

Written by Meg Farley

You can duplicate a video to reuse an existing project as the starting point for a new one. This saves time when you need several similar videos for different audiences.

To duplicate a video:

  1. Go to the video you want to copy in My Videos.

  2. Select the three-dot menu on the video.

  3. Select Duplicate.

  4. Synthesia creates a copy of your video project. You can edit the copy while your original project stays unchanged.

šŸ’” Tip: A duplicate is made from the version that is currently saved. Before you duplicate, check the cloud icon in the editor shows your latest edits are saved. To copy a specific earlier version, open Show version history and duplicate the snapshot you want.
