πŸ“£ Introducing our newest feature to Synthesia, Dialogue feature! πŸ“£

The Dialogue feature allows you to have two or more avatars in a scene, allowing you to simulate real-life and conversations and interactions, leading to higher engagement for your video projects and the best part you can have up to 20 avatars on a scene! 🎬

You can also assign a unique voice to each avatar in your scenes and even have multiple languages per scene, allowing your video to be truly catered to your audiences.

Let's dive in!

How to add multiple avatars to a scene

To begin using the feature, simply create a new video project, using one of our templates or starting from scratch.

Once your project is created, simply click the Avatar button at the top of the canvas to add your first avatar.

You will then be able to add a voice to your avatar, using the Voice option in the script box.

From here, you can select from any of the voices we currently have, by searching for a language and navigating through the list.

Your selection will then show in the script box, with the avatar image and the chosen language as seen in the screenshot below.

To add additional avatars to the scene, simply select the avatar image and click the New speaker option, located in the script box or use the Avatar menu at the top of the canvas.

You can then select your secondary avatar as shown below.

Once you have made your selection, your secondary avatar will show in the canvas, alongside the primary avatar.

You can move or resize your avatars within the canvas, as well as setting each avatar layout to full body or within a circle.

Alternatively, you can have the avatar speaking in the background, simply by selecting the speaker option in the script box and clicking the eye icon next to the voice. The avatar will then not be displayed in the scene and instead be a voice speaking in the background.

How to use the Dialogue feature

Once you are happy with the avatars on screen, you can then begin to create your script. Ensure that each avatar's script is in separate paragraphs and then select the avatars voice for each section.

You can do this by selecting the avatar image in the script box, and selecting the avatar that you wish to speak. Your script box will begin to look something like the below,

Once you have created your script, you can ensure it's correct by using the Preview option in the script box.

You can repeat the process above throughout your projects and include up to 20 avatars per scene - so happy creating! πŸ₯³

Q: The voice over is speaking but my avatar is not moving, why is this?

A: This could be due to your avatar not being assigned the voice. Ensure you check your script box to see which voice is assigned to the script and ensure that avatar is visible on screen.
