How do I upload an audio file to Synthesia?

Learn how to upload your own voice or an audio file in Synthesia.

This feature is only available for Synthesia Enterprise plans.

If you would like to add voice uploads to your account, contact the Synthesia Support team.

To upload an audio file from your computer:

  1. Ensure the script box is completely empty.

  2. An option to upload an audio file is displayed in the script.

  3. Select your audio file from your computer and click Open.

  4. The audio is then present in your video.

  5. After uploading your audio, select the language in which it was recorded in. The option is located within the script box on the left-hand side.


Notes:

  • You can preview the audio using the Play button located on the right-hand side of your script box.

  • You can upload a maximum of 5 minutes of audio per scene, ensure the format is: .mp3, .flac or .wav.

  • Currently it is not possible to change the audio volume or playback speed.

  • To ensure your audio is not clipped your recording should have several seconds of silence at the beginning and end of your clip.
