Learn how to upload your own voice or an audio file in Synthesia.

If you would like to add voice uploads to your account, please contact our support team to discuss upgrading your plan.

How to Upload a Voice or Audio File

If you are already on a corporate plan, follow the steps below to upload your voice file.

To upload a file from your computer, make sure the script box is completely empty.

Once all wording is removed, an option to upload will appear as an underlined button as presented in the screenshot below. Click on it to proceed with the upload.

To ensure your audio is not clipped, please make sure then when recording you have several seconds of silence at the beginning and end of your clip.

It is important to note:

  • You can upload a maximum of 5 minutes of audio per scene.

  • Currently it is not possible to change the audio volume or playback speed.

  • Supported formats: .mp3, .flac, .wav.

How to Choose Audio Language

After uploading your audio, select the language in which it was recorded. The option is located within the script box on the left-hand side.

How to Preview Audio

To preview your audio before generating your video, click the Play button located on the right-hand side of your script box.
