Syren is a beta feature. Review your video, including avatars and audio, before you share it.
đ Syren Availability by Plan
Basic: Videos include a watermark. Download and sharing are enabled for the first 2 weeks.
Starter and Pro: Videos have no watermark and you can download and share them.
Enterprise: Available to every organization. Users need a full license to use Syren. Admins can turn off Syren for their organization.
On October 9, we gave each user 2,000 Syren credits so they can create their first video on us. These credits can be used in Syren only, cannot be shared between accounts, exchanged, or redeemed, and expire on November 9th, 2026 at 23:59 BST. After your launch credits run out or expire, Syren uses the standard credits in your account.

What is Syren?
Syren is a new way to create videos in Synthesia. You describe the video you want, and an AI agent builds the video and shows you a live preview as it works. You can add your own files and links, and then refine the video through chat instead of building each scene by hand. Syren works well for launch videos, explainers, product how-tos, and marketing content.
Before You Start
Before you start a video with Syren, check these limits:
Syren videos can be up to 3 minutes long.
You can start from scratch or from an example video. If you start from scratch, you choose a size before you send your prompt: Wide 16:9 (landscape) or Tall 9:16 (portrait). If you start from an example video, you cannot choose a size.
Syren uses credits as you create and refine your video. Your usage appears as Syren usage.
Create a Video With Syren
To create a video with Syren:
In the navigation menu, under Tools, select Syren.
Choose a video shape or an example video:
Choose a shape from the aspect ratio dropdown in the prompt box: Wide 16:9 (selected by default) or Tall 9:16.
Or select an example video in the Quick start, Explore, or My videos tab.
If you use an example video, you cannot choose a shape.
Describe the video you want in the prompt box.
Include details such as audience, tone, visual style, narration, and music.
For example: "Create a 30-second social media ad explaining Synthesia to marketing professionals interested in video."
(Optional) Select + in the prompt box to add supporting material to your prompt:
Documents
Images
Videos
PowerPoint files
Select Send.
Review, Refine, and Share Your Video
After you select Send, Syren builds your video and shows you a live preview. To review, refine, and share your video:
Answer any question Syren asks.
For example, Syren can ask who the video is for and offer answer options. Choose an answer, and Syren continues building your video.
Watch the live preview as Syren builds your video.
The Chat panel shows each stage of the build.
Select Stop to stop Syren while it works.
Wait until Syren finishes generating before you play the video. A video played during generation can sound garbled or silent.
Refine the video through chat. For example, ask Syren to:
Change the script
Swap the avatar or voice
Restyle a scene
Fix the music, shot types, aspect ratio, or pronunciation
Every chat message goes with the playhead position and the element you selected. Drag the playhead or select a moment in the scenes to show Syren which moment you mean.
(Optional) Edit an element on the picture without waiting for Syren:
Select an element, such as a heading, an image, or a shape.
Drag the element to move it, or select the text again to retype it. These edits apply at once.
Select the sparkle icon on the selected element, and then type an instruction, such as "make this bigger" or "fade this in at 2s". The instruction applies to the element you selected.
Select Generate, and then choose a resolution:
Source - 1080p
720p
480p
360p
Download your video from the video page after Syren finishes generating.
(Optional) Share your video:
Select Share.
Select Publish.
Choose who can watch: Anyone with the link, Require SSO to watch, Protect with password, or Request email. You must publish first to choose who can watch.
đĄ Undo and redo reverse every change, yours and Syren's. Select the undo or redo button, or press âZ on a Mac.
Tips and Known Limitations
đĄ Start with a simple prompt, and then refine your video in chat. Very long prompts can fail to generate.
These tips and known limitations help you get better results from Syren.
Interactive avatars and live conversations are not available in Syren.
Avatar scenes longer than 30 seconds can time out.
Syren mixes the first 24 audio tracks into your exported video. Any extra voiceover or sound effects are dropped. Mute the tracks you don't need.
Exports can take some time to finish.
If the chat disconnects, reload the page and type "continue" to ask Syren to resume.
Use only files, links, logos, and brand assets you have the right to use.
âď¸ Enterprise admins can turn off Syren for their organization with an organization-level setting.
