You can customize Synthetic Avatar outfits in Synthesia using text prompts. This lets you dress avatars in industry-specific clothing or branded looks that better match your message and audience.

📚 You can also customize backgrounds and create Avatar B-roll to bring your videos to life:

What avatars does this work for?

Outfit customization is available for:

  • A specific set of six expressive synthetic stock avatars

  • Personal avatars created from a photo

If you’re working with a personal avatar, see How do I create personal avatars from photo? to learn more about setup and requirements.

Customize an Avatar’s outfit

  1. In the video editor, select Avatars.

  2. Click Create outfit in the top-right of the picker.

  3. Enter a text prompt describing the outfit.

    • Example: “blue overalls with safety vest”

  4. (Optional) Add branding:

    • Use the logo picker to select a logo from your Brand Kit or Library, or upload a new one.

    • Optionally include logo placement in your prompt (for example, “with logo on chest”).

    • Specify brand colors using hex codes (for example, #0057B7) and describe which garments they should apply to.

  5. Select your preferred Avatar from the dropdown options.

  6. Click the blue arrow. Generation can take a few minutes.

  7. When ready, apply the outfit to your video or add it to your favorites for future use.

💡 Very detailed logos or logos with small text may render imperfectly. Consider using a simplified version (for example, just the icon) for better results.
