You can skip a section of an uploaded video in your Synthesia project using the pause and play controls—perfect for cutting out pauses, off-topic moments, or any part you don’t want in the final result. This lets you control playback without editing the original video file.
How to skip part of a video:
Add a pause where you want to temporarily stop the video. You can do this by inserting a pause at the point in the scene you want the video to stop.
Find your new start point using the frame scrubber. Drag the scrubber to the frame where you want the video to continue playing.
Resume playback from the new position. The video will skip all frames between the pause and your selected resume point. It won’t play the in-between segment at all.
✍️ This doesn’t edit the original video file—it simply skips over frames during playback.
