How do I generate AI images in Synthesia?

How to generate AI images

  1. Open the Media panel in your video project.

  2. Go to the Create with AI tab.

  3. Write your image prompt — describe what you'd like to generate.

    • Tip: Press Tab to auto-generate a prompt based on your scene’s script.

  4. Choose an image model from the dropdown:

    • FLUX.2 (default)

      • Cost: 3 credits/image

      • Free for Enterprise plan users

    • Google Nanobanana 2

      • Cost: 9 credits/image

      • Higher quality

  5. Click the blue arrow to create your image.

  6. Your image appears in the media panel and can be used like any other asset.

  • FLUX.2: 3 credits/image (free for Enterprise users)

Is this feature available to all users?

Yes, it's included on all plans.

Can I reuse my generated images?

Yes. They stay in your media panel and are saved to your user account (not your workspace).

What’s the image quality and format?

All AI-generated images are 1080p (1920x1080). Aspect ratio and resolution are fixed.

Where are my images stored?

Images are private to your account and tied to the video where they were generated. They are not currently shared across workspaces.

Can admins control access to this feature?

Yes. Org and Workspace admins can disable AI image generation (along with Veo 3 and Sora 2) via the AI-generated stock content toggle in Settings.

Are the images always accurate?

Not always. AI-generated visuals may include quirks like misspelled text or unusual object shapes. These models are among the best available, but results may vary.

Is it integrated with Avatars or Spaces?

No, this feature is currently separate from those tools.
