Can I edit translations for dubbed videos?

Enterprise users can securely edit AI-generated translations in dubbed videos with Synthesia. Refine wording while preserving meaning, switch voices, and enable lip sync during final generation.

Yes — you can switch the speaker’s voice to either a stock voice or a voice clone. And with secure translation editing, you can fine-tune translations for dubbed videos while keeping the original meaning intact.

How to securely edit translations

  1. Dub your video using the Video dubbing feature.

  2. After the dubbed version is generated, click Edit.

  3. Update translations directly in the editor but ensure the original meaning stays intact.

    • “It was sunny in London” → “The sun was shining in London”

    • “It was sunny in London” → “It was raining in London”

  4. Generate the final version. You can choose to enable lip sync at this stage, even if it wasn’t selected initially.
