Sharing custom avatars and voices lets your team use the same assets across projects, keeping your videos consistent and saving time. You can share with individual users or with your entire workspace, and remove access at any time.
Share an Avatar or Voice
Go to the Avatars or Voices page, depending on what you want to share.
Find the avatar or voice you want to share, select the options menu next to it, and select Share.
In the Share menu, choose who to share with:
To invite individual users, search for their email address in the user search bar and select Share.
To share with your entire workspace, select the sharing dropdown and choose Shared with Workspace.

Remove access to an Avatar or Voice
Go to the Avatars or Voices page.
Find the avatar or voice you want to revoke access to, select the three-dot menu next to it, and select Share.
The Share menu displays which users currently have access:
To remove access for a specific user, select the Shared dropdown next to their email and choose Remove.
To remove access for the entire workspace, select the sharing dropdown and choose Invite Only. This revokes access for all workspace members and lets you invite users individually.
Share an Outfit or Space
You can share an avatar in a specific Outfit or Space with individual users or your entire workspace. This lets your team use a consistent avatar look without needing to recreate it themselves.
Navigate to the outfit or space you would like to share.
Select the three-dot menu next to it and choose Share.
In the Share menu, choose who to share with:
To invite individual users, search for their email address in the user search bar and select Share.
To share with your entire workspace, select the dropdown — which will show Invite Only by default — and choose Shared with Workspace.
✍️ Outfit sharing gives recipients read-only access to the underlying avatar. Recipients can use the avatar in their videos but cannot edit it or create new outfits for it.
💡 Shared outfits appear with a Shared badge in the avatar picker. Use the filter options to view All, Mine, Shared, or Synthesia avatars.

Avatars and voices can only be transferred between workspaces by the Synthesia support team. To request a transfer, contact the Synthesia support team with the avatar or voice ID, the destination workspace, and written authorization from the owner confirming the transfer.

The share option is not available for all avatar types. Avatars created from a photo do not support sharing of the avatar itself — this is expected behavior. You can, however, share individual outfits for a photo avatar. Recipients can use the avatar in that specific outfit in their videos, but cannot customize it or create new outfits from it.
