How to Translate Videos Using XLIFF in Synthesia:
Step 1: Export Your Video as an XLIFF File
Open your video in Synthesia.
Click on the three-dot menu next to the video.
Select Download video as XLIFF.
Save the XLIFF file to your computer.
Step 2: Translate the XLIFF File Using a TMS
Upload the XLIFF file to your Translation Management System (TMS) (e.g., Phrase, Crowdin, Lokalise).
Use machine or human translation to convert the script into one or multiple languages.
Once translations are complete, download the translated XLIFF files in the same format as the original.
Step 3: Import the Translated XLIFF File into Synthesia
Open the original video in Synthesia.
Click on the Translate button.
In the Translate modal, select Upload XLIFF files.
Choose the translated XLIFF file and click Translate.
Synthesia will generate the translated video automatically.
What is XLIFF?
XLIFF (XML Localization Interchange File Format) is an industry-standard XML-based format used for exchanging translation data between tools.
