Generate codes to avoid content claims on YouTube

Updated over 2 months ago

When uploading a Synthesia video to YouTube that includes Soundstripe music, it's crucial to generate single-use codes for each track used in the video to avoid copyright content claims. These codes serve as proof that the songs were properly licensed and as a result, any related content claims will be automatically cleared, typically within minutes.

How to use YouTube codes:

  1. Navigate to your generated video within Synthesia.

  2. Click the ellipsis next to the publish button to pull up the video actions menu.

  3. Select Generate YouTube codes.

  4. Paste the generated codes in your YouTube video description in the following format:

    1. Code: PVOCJJYPJAOBRUIE, PKISNVTEJAOBLWUN, RNQEJJOCBNOBQXUR

Notes:

  • Each song used in a video will require its own code.

  • You can use each code only once per song and must generate a new code for each use in subsequent videos.
