When creating a Personal Avatar, there are several tips you can follow to ensure you get the best version of your avatar. We recommend:
Not wearing anything that covers the mouth, such as face masks.
Keeping your hands away from the front of your mouth during the recording.
If wearing glasses, make sure to avoid having glare on them, whilst recording.
Wear plain clothes - detailed patterns around the face/neck area can be distorted on the Personal Avatar.
A simple background around your neck/jaw area to avoid avatar distortion.
Not to over exaggerate expressions when filming as this can cause distortion to the personal avatar
When filming from a side angle, ensure both eyes are visible.
If you are using our Upload footage option, ensure the recording is one continuous recording and not multiple cuts of a video stitched together.
When creating a selfie video for submission, ensure your face is not to close to the camera.
For all recordings, there should be only one person's voice in the recording
Speak naturally and clearly, whilst recording to ensure Synthesia captures your voice correctly.
