The Dialogue feature allows you to have two or more avatars in a scene (up to 20), allowing you to simulate real-life and conversations and interactions.

To create a dialogue in your video scene:

  1. Click the Avatar button at the top of the canvas to add your first avatar.

  2. Enter a sentence in your script for your avatar.

  3. Select your first avatar language and voice.

  4. Add then additional avatars to the scene, through the Avatar menu in the top bar.
Alternatively in your script box, select the first avatar then click New speaker to add another avatar.

  5. Write a sentence in your script for the second avatar.

  6. Select your second avatar language and voice.

Notes:

  • You can have the second avatar speaking in the background. Selecting the speaker option in the script box and clicking the eye icon next to the voice. The avatar is then not displayed in the scene and instead be a voice speaking in the background.

  • To learn more, check out the Synthesia Academy Feature Fridays: Avatar Dialogue recording.
