Survey sessions and Interactive Avatars are now available on self-serve plans.

Features unlocked by each plan aren't changing — if you can use something today, you can still use it on October 1.
Creator is now Pro
If you're on Creator, on October 1 your plan will simply be called Pro. Your price, your features and your billing date stay the same. You'll get more credits every month (6,500, up from 3,600), plus the 10 minutes of video and 3 survey responses included on every plan.
Why the new name? Synthesia now does much more than video creation — surveys, interactive avatars, dubbing — and "Pro" is a better fit for that.

If you regularly run out of credits, you can now step up without leaving self-serve. Each Pro plan multiplies the monthly credits of Pro, and the larger plans get a better rate per credit.

How credits work
Credits are a single balance you can spend on anything in Synthesia.
Your 10 minutes of included video and 3 survey responses are used first. Credits are only used once those run out.

✍️ For video creation: Credits are based on the length of avatar footage generated. A typical finished video uses about 100 credits per minute; a video with more on-screen avatar time will use a little more, one with less will use a little less.
If you mainly use Synthesia for video creation, you'll be able to make more each month than before on Starter and Pro. If you use the API or bulk personalization heavily, you may find your monthly credits go a little less far. Get in touch and we'll help you find the right plan.
What happens to my account on October 1?
Nothing you need to do. Your plan updates automatically.
Your price stays the same.
Credits already in your account stay there. We're not removing anything.
Your billing date doesn't change.
If you're on an annual plan, we'll add the extra monthly credits for the rest of your current term straight away — you won't wait until renewal.
If you're on a monthly plan, your new allowance applies from October 1, adjusted for the days left in your current billing period.
