💬 FAQs

Can I customize an avatar's outfit, which has been shared with me?

No, you are only able to customize your own personal avatar's outfits or the customizable avatars already provided by Synthesia.

Why does my avatar look a different color after I customize its outfit?

Customizing an outfit can change the avatar's color by a small amount, so the result may not match the original avatar exactly. To get a closer match, generate the outfit again, then apply the version that looks closest to the original.

Why can't I see the "Create outfit" option for my avatar?

Outfit customization is only available for customizable stock avatars and personal avatars created from a photo. If the Create outfit option does not appear in the avatar picker, the avatar you have selected does not support outfit customization. Customization is also only available for Express-2 avatars — if your avatar is an older version, the option will not appear.

Can I share a custom outfit with my team?

You can share custom outfits with individual users or your entire workspace. See How do I share a custom outfit or space? to learn how.
