Check which Avatars are available on your plan before you start building a video

In the left-hand menu, select Avatars.

Browse the list of Avatars displayed in your account.

Look for the lightning bolt icon ⚡ on an Avatar's thumbnail:

- If an Avatar has this icon, it is not available on your current plan.
- You’ll need to <a href="https://help.synthesia.io/en/articles/9413591-how-do-i-upgrade-my-synthesia-plan">upgrade your plan</a> to use these Avatars.

1. Log in to your Synthesia account.
2. In the left-hand menu, select Avatars.
3. Browse the list of Avatars displayed in your account.
4. Look for the lightning bolt icon ⚡ on an Avatar's thumbnail:
 - If an Avatar has this icon, it is not available on your current plan.
 - You’ll need to <a href="https://help.synthesia.io/en/articles/9413591-how-do-i-upgrade-my-synthesia-plan">upgrade your plan</a> to use these Avatars.

✍️ Avatar availability may vary depending on your plan type (Basic , Starter, Creator, or Enterprise).

✍️If an Avatar appears available but shows as locked when you try to use it, this may be a temporary display issue. <a href="mailto:support@synthesia.io" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Contact Support</a> if this happens.

You can still preview unavailable avatars, but you won’t be able to select them when creating videos.
