How do I change fonts and style text in Synthesia?

Learn how to format your text in Synthesia to match your brand, improve readability, or enhance your video's design—from font selection and styling to uploading your own custom fonts.

Style text in a scene:

  1. Select the text element (title, subtitle, or paragraph) you want to style in your scene.

  2. On the right-hand side under the Text section, you can:

    • Make text bold, italic, or underlined

    • Change the font family

    • Adjust the font size

    • Change the font color

    • Reposition the text within its canvas box


Change the font color:

  1. Select the text element in your scene.

  2. In the right-hand menu, click Font color.

  3. Choose your desired color from the palette.


Upload a custom font (Creator and Enterprise plans only):

  1. Go to your Library in Synthesia.

  2. Click the Fonts tab.

  3. Select Upload file.

  4. Choose a font file from your computer.

    ✅ Supported formats: .ttf, .otf, .woff, .woff2

Once uploaded, your fonts will be available to use across all scenes within your workspace. Uploaded fonts are only accessible within your workspace.
