Timing animations

In Synthesia STUDIO you can choose the Delay (how long until shape, text, or image comes onto canvas) and Duration (how long it takes the element to animate).

Timing animation to the right second.

After writing your script — you'll get an estimated speech time of it.

Next, place the text cursor anywhere in your script to get the estimated start time of the word. In the example below, the avatar would say the word "timestamp" 5 seconds into the script.

And lastly, when you select a word or a sentence — you get an estimated speech duration of the selected text. With this, you know precisely how long animation should be if just about that sentence.

Here's an example of how it looks in practice.

Place the cursor in front of the word you want the animation to start, and find the approximate start time. Select the element you want to animate, and adjust the animation style and time accordingly.
